Plans to digitise and drive efficiencies across the supply chain

Bengaluru based seafood supply chain startup Captain Fresh, has raised $2.3 million (~ Rs 17.2 crore) in pre-Series A funding.

Early-stage investor Ankur Capital led the round, while Incubate Fund India and some Silicon Valley-based angel investors also participated in the round.

Captain Fresh works with brands across retail and trade channels and claims to be serving more than 120 retail businesses. It is a B2B marketplace leveraging technology to deliver the fastest harvest-to-retail in the industry.

The startup plans to invest in technologies like computer vision, IoT, bots, and data analytics to digitise and drive efficiencies across the supply chain. Captain Fresh will also use the funding to expand to new cities and hire people.
