Lineage explores connection between food infrastructure and economic development
US-based Mercy Nutraceuticals, maker of functional products and a leading player in hangover prevention, launched the Mercy Hangover Prevention Chewable Tablet on New Year’s Eve. The five-calorie, citrus-flavored tablet can counter the negative effects of three to five alcoholic drinks, said the company.
The tablets offer the same uniquely high levels of functional nutrients as in Mercy’s hangover supplement. They work by encouraging the body to produce glutathione, a naturally occurring antioxidant that neutralizes toxins and enhances overall health, the statement released by the company said.
“We are excited to bring the second form of Mercy to the marketplace, coinciding with New Year Eve’s celebrations,” said David Racicot, CEO of Mercy Nutraceuticals. “The compact and convenient nature of the tablet will make Mercy more accessible to people who demand products with observable benefits.”
Mercy hit the market in 2011 based on its eight years of research and development in hangover prevention. It uses proprietary formula of vitamins and amino acids to eliminate toxins from the body.
