DSM starts its first human nutrition plant in India

Royal DSM, a global nutrition company, inaugurated its Fortitech Premixes plant in Vadodara, Gujarat. This is DSM’s first ever human nutrition plant in India. The ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to India, Alphonsus Stoelinga inaugurated the plant.

The plant is spread across 5,000 sq. meters and will service the South Asian market with its teams split between Delhi and Mumbai, as well as a business development group, based in Malaysia and an upcoming Nutrition Innovation Center in Singapore. The initial employee headcount for this plant will be 29 full-time positions.

Commenting on the inauguration, Rick Greubel, president, Human Nutrition & Health, DSM said, “As one of the fastest growing economies in the world, we believe that this facility in India will add to DSM’s overall growth and profitability. By expanding our presence, we aim to deliver more value to our Indian and South Asian customers.”

Indian consumers are becoming more aware of healthy lifestyle choices and are actively looking for nutritional products that they can rely on.
