Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) has entered into an agreement with Raipur based Sattva Seeds for licensing of CH-27 (chilli hybrid) and PPH-1 (pumpkin hybrid).
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by PAU research director Navtej Singh Bains and Saurabh Rathi of Sattva Seeds.
CH-27 developed by PAU is a high yielding variety being widely accepted by farmers in the northwestern part of India. PAU has signed 9 MoUs for CH-27 and 2 MoUs for PPH 1 with various companies across the nation.
PAU has signed 167 MoUs and commercialized 39 technologies, including hybrid lines of mustard, chilli, brinjal and its varieties, biofertilizers, leaf colour chart, water testing kit, apple cider and other technologies.
