Cargill scholarship for leaders of tomorrow

Global food major Cargill has launched Cargill Global Scholars programme to mentor and support select undergraduate students around the world learning in food, agriculture and risk management or related fields. The programme has selected 56 students for its first class from India, Brazil, China, Russia and the United States. The batch includes 10 Indian students majority of whom are studying in IITs.

Under the programme students will receive funds to help cover their educational expenses and will participate in leadership development and enrichment activities with Cargill leaders designed to enhance critical thinking skills and equip students with tools to help them become leaders and decision makers in their chosen fields. “At Cargill, we work with higher education institutions to ensure that we have access to the best people, faculty and ideas relevant to our business’ future,” said Pat Bowe, corporate Vice-President of Cargill.
