US-based education and networking conference for the health and nutrition industry, Next Innovation Summit, previously known as Nutracon, has invited applications for NutrAwards 2014 from the functional ingredients introduced between January 2012 to December 2013. Deadline for application is December 31, 2013.
The NutrAwards will be awarded to winners from two categories, the best functional ingredient and best finished product featuring a functional ingredient. All products must be commercially introduced after January 1, 2012, until the submission deadline, December 31, 2013. The winners are selected by a committee with voting criteria of how well the ingredient or product meets the defined criteria.
The criteria for functional ingredients category include scientific merit, efficacy, market potential, safety, innovation and ability to increase market credibility. Criteria for finished product category include viable product, emerging category, creative product concept, distinct health application, unique packaging and matchless marketing.
Awards function will be held on March 5, 2014 at NEXT Innovation Summit to be held March 5-6, 2014 in California, US. The summit will be co-located with other two industry expos – Natural Products Expo West and Engredea.
