The Board of Directors of Tata Global Beverages Limited (TGBL) has announced that Ajoy Misra, presently the Deputy CEO and Executive Director of TGBL be elevated and appointed as the CEO and Managing Director of TGBL effective from April 1, 2014, in place of Harish Bhat, who will step down at close of business on March 31, 2014 and move into a senior advisory position in the Tata Group.
The appointment of Ajoy Misra as the Managing Director will be subject to all required statutory approvals and the approval of the members of the Company.
Ajoy Misra will, with immediate effect, function as “Managing Director Designate”, until he formally takes over as Managing Director on April 1, 2014. Ajoy has over 30 years of rich experience in the Tata group. Prior to joining Tata Global Beverages, he held with distinction several leadership roles in the Taj Group of Hotels, including as the Head of Global Marketing & Sales, Area Director and General Manager of various regions and properties of the Taj.
The Board of Directors has also decided that Harish Bhat will be appointed as a non-Executive Director on the Board of TGBL with effect from April 1, 2014.
