M*Modal opens India Technology Center in Bangalore

M*Modal, a key provider of clinical documentation services and Speech Understanding solutions, has announced the opening of its dedicated state-of-the-art India Technology Center in Bangalore.

Located in the prime Cessna Business Park, Bangalore, this 320-seat facility has over 34,000 sq.ft of office space and provides a modernized location for over 250 technology team members, including product developers, quality assurance engineers, natural language processing and speech recognition content developers, technology infrastructure and technical support professionals. The new center complements M*Modal’s current international technology centers located in Norcross, Georgia; Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and Franklin, Tennessee in the U.S.; and Malvern in the U.K.

The new Bangalore center will focus on driving innovations in existing and emerging healthcare technologies, particularly in the clinical documentation space. The center is also a part of M*Modal’s expansion plans in India to help accelerate overall company growth and create value for its healthcare provider customers worldwide.

The Bangalore Technology Center complements M*Modal’s existing IT facility in Hyderabad and is part of the company’s effort to consolidate technology development at key sites in India and around the world.

Recognized as the clinical transcription service provider in the US with a global network of medical editors, M*Modal also offers voice to text solutions to capture the complete patient story, codifies the doctor’s narrative to automatically populate EHRs and other key healthcare information systems, delivers computer-assisted coding to support ICD-9 and the transition to ICD-10, and provides highly advanced analytical tools for exploring the richness within the “unstructured” narrative for improvements in quality of care, greater physician satisfaction and lower operational costs.
