Sami Labs receive FKCCI export excellence award

Bangalore-based Indian Multinational Health Science Company, Sami Labs Ltd, which manufactures and markets phytonutrients and standardized herbal extracts, specialty fine chemicals, and organic intermediates used in the nutritional, dermaceutical and food industries was recognized with the Best District Exporter Gold Award at the 10th Export Excellence Award – 2015, organized by the Federation of Karnataka chambers of Commerce & Industry (FKCCI), Bangalore.

D.V. Sadananda Gowda, Union Minister for Law and Justice, Government of India presented the award to Neeraja Shetty, Sami Director & President of Strategy & Business Development, Sami Labs Ltd. After receiving the award Shetty said, “We are honored to again be recognized for our expertise in developing and exporting fine extracts made from herbs grown in India to customers all over the world. Such recognition inspires everyone in the company to continue our work in providing the highest quality ingredients to promote human health.”

The Export Excellence Awards are presented annually to the top exporters from the state of Karnataka for their outstanding performance. FKCCI was founded in 1916 to promote business development in Karnataka, which today is one of the leading states in exports from India.

In March, Visvesvaraya Trade Promotion Centre (VTPC) honored Sami with the Gold Award in the Agricultural and Horticultural category for Medium to Large Enterprises for 2013 – 2014, the third year in a row, and the District Gold Awards from the Tumkur district.
