The current potential of rice bran oil in the world is 3.5 million tons, against the current production of 1.5 million tons. The major producers are India (9,50,000 tons), China (2,00,000 tons), Japan (80,000 tons) and Thailand (50,000 tons) India represents nearly 2/3 of the world production and is No. 1 in the world.
