Coca-Cola has announced that it will invest $1.2 billion in Argentina over the next three years to expand the production of soft drinks in the country.
This investment builds upon the $1 billion four-year investment programme announced by the company in 2016, which expanded Coca-Cola’s bottling and distribution operations in Argentina through the construction of a new bottling plant in northern Argentina and two new distribution centres.
The additional $1.2 billion programme aims to take this expansion further, as the company says it will upgrade and construct new production lines at existing bottling facilities in the country.
A statement from the company claimed that the investment was necessary to achieve truly sustainable growth with a positive socioeconomic impact, compatible with environmental protection.
