Frontier Lifeline Hospital [Dr.K.M.Cherian Heart Foundation] has been in the forefront of Healthcare industry for decades. Having pioneered several breakthroughs for the first-time in the Medical domain, we are proud to launch South India’s first centre of excellence for “Nutrigenetics”, with a scientific approach to bridge the gap between Diet and Genes.

Our objective is to identify, in what way genetic differences affect response to nutrients. This evidence can be pragmatic to boost health, and inhibit diseases. Heart disease deaths have risen in India by 34% in last few decades. Statistics show that eating a very healthy diet controls heart disease. Genetics also plays an important role in determining various diet and nutrient interactions in many biological pathways. Thus, genetic science is taking us closer to a healthcare model aimed at preventing disease based on individual propensities, rather than waiting to treat symptoms.

A predictable kitchen of the future is likely to be equipped with dispensers to deliver your personalised prescription of nutritional supplements. Going forth, we may be able to recommend a diet rich in foods that contain a particular nutrient that acts by “ switching off “ a gene that contributes to the development of specific chronic diseases, such as cardiovascular diseases, obesity, diabetes etc.

The clinic will be opened in FLL, twice a week from January 2019. With a reputed National & International Advisory board and a very enthusiastic core team who would cordially lead the centre, we aim to offer the individuals, modified nutrition based on their genetic character through advanced DNA testing, followed by diet counselling to deliver the genetic based diet plan.
