This will allow the company to expand its presence in value-added products in the important dairy sector
NESTLÉ, the world’s largest food and Beverage Company, inaugurated a new production line at the Villa Nueva plant in the province of Córdoba, which will allow it to enter the production of liquid milk, following a CHF 12 million ($11.9 million) investment.
This investment will allow for the production of 10 million liters per year of ready-to-drink products from popular brands such as Nesquik and Nido. This will allow the company to expand its presence in value-added products in the important dairy sector. The line is part of a local investment plan of CHF 127 million implemented over the past four years.
All Nestlé Argentina sites, including the Villa Nueva factory, have signed an agreement committing to source 100% of their electric power from renewable sources by 2020, in line with the company’s commitment to preserve natural resources for future generations. Nestlé Argentina operates six factories located in different regions of the country, employing more than 2,000 people.
