The National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) is organising a model training course on ’Good Dairy Management Practices for sustainable Dairy Farming’ from September 23 to 30, 2019 in Bengaluru.

The Southern Regional Station (SRS) at NDRI, Bengaluru has been catering to the research, training and extension needs of the dairy farmers, entrepreneurs and dairy industry of the southern region. 

The rising human population coupled with changing food habits and increasing concern among consumers for ’quality milk & milk products’ warrants faster growth in milk production by adopting various strategies including good dairy management practices (GDMPs) along the entire dairy value chain. This calls for disseminating appropriate Good Dairy Management Practices at field level for ensuring the improved quality milk production.

The core content of the course involves Dairy entrepreneurship development in dairying;  Institutional innovations for inclusive dairydevelopment; Innovtiave extension approaches for effective technology transfer; Recent technological advancements in dairy production; Recent technological advancements in dairy processing, among others.
