FICCI under its Centre for Nutritional Excellence is organising a series of webinar on “Future of Nutrition – Exploring the Health and Wellness benefits in the Food Ingredients ecosystem”. After the success of the five webinars in the planned series, FICCI is now gearing up for the sixth webinar on ‘Exploring the Era of Food innovation: Trends in Food Processing Ecosystem’ scheduled for 18 December, 2020 from 14.30-16.00 hrs.
Knowing that innovation through creation, diffusion and application of knowledge has been always defined as key driver for the economic growth of food sector, trends in food innovations helps to improve the efficiency of the operations and also be more responsive to consumer demands as well as evolving regulatory ecosystem. Consumer demand and expectations are key drivers for innovation. These demands change over time which ranges from basic yet crucial factors such as improved food safety, shelf life and reduced wastage to demand for nutritional foods with special characteristics in terms of its convenience, palatability and nutritional value.
All of these are results of the interaction between consumer expectations and demand, technical capacity of the food producer/innovator and emerging knowledge of food science in research and development. Food Companies with clear understanding of consumer and market scenario are emerging as sustainable businesses. To receive all of this, companies are focusing on innovation system which manages and work at all the stages in product development.
Hence, in this regard to understand about this interesting topic and science behind this the objective of this webinar session is to explore and understand the emerging trends in the era of food innovation in food processing ecosystem.
