Dr Sridevi Annapurna has been serving as the Chief Scientist and Head of Protein Chemistry Technology Department at CFTRI
Dr Sridevi Annapurna Singh has taken charge as the Director of the Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI) in Mysuru. She is the first lady director of CFTRI.
Following the retirement of Dr KSMS Raghavarao on August 31, 2020, the government had appointed National Aeronautics Laboratory (NAL) Director Dr Jitendra Jadhav, a Senior Scientist, as Acting Director of CFTRI.
Dr Sridevi Annapurna has been serving as the Chief Scientist and Head of Protein Chemistry Technology Department at CFTRI and has now been posted as the Director of the institute.
She has published over 50 manuscripts in peer reviewed journals and holds a total of 11 patents to her credit including 5 from the US. As part of her research, she is working on alternate and unconventional sources of protein and micronutrients to combat malnutrition and development of novel food ingredients for health benefits.
