Blue Yonder will provide solutions for more accurate forecasting, always-on planning features, and a new user experience

HEINEKEN has recently expanded its demand planning capabilities with Blue Yonder, the world leader in digital supply chain and omnichannel commerce service. HEINEKEN will implement Blue Yonder’s demand planning solution based on machine learning (ML) to keep up with rapid changes in consumer demand patterns.

Committed to innovation and long-term investment in the brand, HEINEKEN was looking for a solution that would expand its digital capabilities to allow for more accurate, integrated, and automated forecasts.

Blue Yonder will provide solutions for more accurate forecasting, always-on planning features and a new user experience. The improved demand signal will power the Blue Yonder Luminate Platform, powered by a rapid optimization mechanism, which will translate into even greater supply chain performance. A longtime Blue Yonder customer, HEINEKEN already uses Blue Yonder’s end-to-end supply chain planning solutions in many of its operations to optimize and orchestrate decisions in sales, supply chain, operations and finance. In the coming years, they will roll out the new demand planning solution to five of their largest operations worldwide.

Blue Yonder’s demand planning solution, developed to run on Microsoft Azure, continuously provides insights into the customer’s supply chain to enable smarter and more profitable business decisions using AI and ML. The solution can ingest hundreds of internal and external influencing factors that drive demand to provide a unique demand projection with impact and risk calculated on the business. HEINEKEN will achieve better inventory management and a better understanding of the drivers of demand and consumer behaviour.
