Dr Trilochan Mohapatra inaugurates Atal Incubation Centre, SRS, ICAR-NDRI Foundation, Bengaluru

Dr Trilochan Mohapatra, Secretary (DARE) & Director General (ICAR) inaugurated the “Atal Incubation Centre, SRS, ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) Foundation, Bengaluru supported by the Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog at the Southern Regional Station of ICAR-NDRI, Bengaluru, Karnataka recently.

In his inaugural address, Dr Mohapatra stated that the concept of innovation is not new to our culture and its importance was realized long back in the country. The Director General affirmed that the Artificial Intelligence platforms work on data of high quality. Therefore, proper and accurate data maintenance is the need of the hour.

Dr Mohapatra also emphasized on developing and adopting the sensor-based technologies in the field of dairying. He stressed that the AIC at the Southern Regional Station of ICAR-NDRI will encourage and promote innovation culture and startups in the field of dairy production and processing.

R. Ramanan, Mission Director, Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog & Additional Secretary, Government of India affirmed that the Atal Innovation Mission would settle for nothing less than the world class incubators. He expected that ICAR-NDRI, Southern Regional Centre would strive to meet the target of establishing a high standard incubation facility in the field of dairying, and assured all possible help from AIM, NITI Aayog.
