BIPEA launches interlaboratory test for honey

This PTS registered 11 participants from 5 different countries

BIPEA launched a new interlaboratory test (PTS 32H) that allowed testing laboratories to assess their analytical performance by analysing trace elements in a sample of honey.

For this test, the laboratories received a sample of 500 ml and were able to analyse the following parameters using the usual methods: dry matter, aluminium, arsenic, cadmium, chromium, cobalt, tin, fluorine, iodine, manganese, mercury, molybdenum, nickel, lead, selenium, titanium, copper and iron.

This PTS registered 11 participants from 5 different countries. For more than 50 years, BIPEA has provided a wide range of proficiency tests and external reference materials for testing laboratories concerned with quality control and analytical accuracy in various fields (environment, food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals).
