Inside BENEO’s new pulse plant: pioneering sustainable protein from faba beans
The strawberries were cultivated and aggregated by Saptasajya Agro Producer Company
Odisha’s agri export journey reached a landmark moment with the first time export of 51 kg of fresh strawberries from Dhenkanal district to London.
The strawberries were cultivated and aggregated by Saptasajya Agro Producer Company, a Farmer Producer Organisation from Dhenkanal, reflecting the rising confidence and capability of farmer collectives to produce export quality crops that meet stringent international standards.
Under the strong leadership of the Department of Agriculture & Farmer’s Empowerment, and the guidance of the Directorate of Horticulture, this structured export was enabled through the Promotion and Stabilisation of Farmer Producer Organisations Project. Implemented by Palladium: Make It Possible India, with support from the Gates Foundation, and facilitation from The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), World Trade Center – Bhubaneswar and the Odisha Livelihood Mission, this milestone reflects strong institutional convergence, enabling organised and direct access to remunerative international markets and reinforcing the foundations of a resilient rural economy.
