Herbalife Nutrition has launched Gene Start in South Korea, the first of its markets in the world to introducean innovative healthcare service that analyzes one’s genetic make-up, dietary habits and lifestyles through the use of a portable genetic testing kit.
The launch of Gene Start will empower Herbalife Nutrition to provide more comprehensive personalized nutrition solutions to meet the nutrition and wellness goals of today’s consumers.
Developed jointly with Theragen Etex, a leading company in genomic science, Gene Start testing service will be made available in South Korea through Herbalife Nutrition independent members.
Following the test, consumers will receive detailed analysis on their genetic make-up and correlating lifestyle choices. Armed with the results, Herbalife members will be able to provide enhanced personalized nutrition programs to their customers and recommend Herbalife Nutrition products specifically tailored for their needs. The cost of the test is KRW79,200 ($72).
Findings from the Herbalife Asia Pacific Balanced Nutrition Survey has revealed that over one-third of respondents in Asia Pacific would like to have access to expert advice for a personalised nutrition plan to enable adoption of positive nutrition habits.
