Nutrition journalists play a critical role in creating an ecosystem that connects this industry

Nutrify India, a Mumbai-based platform that enables business in the field of responsible nutrition has celebrated International Nutrition Journalist Day by honoring 11 star journalists from across the world- India, Europe, US, and Australia for their contribution to the field of the nutrition industry.

The journalists who were selected for the awards include Sean Moloughney, editor of Nutraceuticals World magazine, New York City, USA; Sheldon Baker, chief executive officer of nutraceutical brand marketing firm Baker Dillon Group, USA and long-time contributor of the Health E-Insights column to Nutraceuticals World magazine; Ann Cattelan, Director – Healthworks Consulting, Australia; Pamela Allardice from Australia is the author of 24 books, including, The Art of Aromatherapy, Body Bible, Natural Remedies A-Z, and Aphrodisiacs and Love Magic, editor of Nature & Health magazine, is Readers Digests alternative medicine editor; Italy based Gayle De Maria is the Managing Editor at TKS Publisher; Charlotte Bastiaanse, Editor – Informa, United Kingdom; Milind Kokje, Chief Editor, BioSpectrum (Asia & India), NuFFooDS Spectrum, AgroSpectrum – MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications Private Limited from India; Shankar Raj is Senior Health Journalist and Former Editor of the New Indian Express, Karnataka, India; Janet Poveromo, Editor in Chief – VRM Media, USA; Nikita Bhalla, Editor in Chief – Hello Health Group, India and Manjari Chandra – a renowned wellness coach and Nutritionist from India, who launched Her Book “Eat Up Clean Up.”

Speaking about the contribution of journalists Amit Srivastava, Chief Catalyst- Responsible Nutrition Business, Nutrify India observed that for each success that this industry gains, it leads to celebration and growth, but in the journey of success, nutrition journalists are often ignored. Nutrition journalists play a critical role in creating an ecosystem that connects this industry. 

“The nutraceutical industry has grown due to a combined effort of companies, scientists, academia, government, and the journalists who have actively connected the dots. As this industry grows, there is a higher responsibility amongst the ecosystem and the journalists to assist innovators, startups, small to mid-sized companies; to contribute with great creativity in responsible nutrition and get noticed in the business world besides help them to grow effectively,” added Srivastava.
