There is insufficient evidence on what nutrition- sensitive interventions actually work under what circumstances

Asian Nutrition Society has been launched in an event held on 17th Oct, 2021 at Courtyard by Marriot, Mumbai.

Commenting on the launch of Asian Nutrition Society, Dr. Purvish Parikh, Medical Oncologist said “Currently, there is insufficient attention being paid to the role of Diet and Nutrition in patients with noon communicable diseases. This is because of several factors, one crucial one being the lack of a platform for doctors and nutritionists to interact as equals. The launch of Asian Nutrition Society is aimed at filling this gap. We will involve all stakeholders in studying and implementing personalized evidence based dietary therapy to improve outcomes. Involvement of key leaders from India, SAARC Countries and rest of Asia will strengthen this process and validate guidelines that can be implemented across ethnic as well as socio cultural groups. We are sure that our society will bring cheer, taste and health to our patients in an ethical and inclusive manner.”

Supporting the development of the Asian Nutrition Society, Raktim Chattopadhyay, Founder & CEO at Esperer Nutrition said, Esperer’s Evidence Based Responsible Nutrition (E2RN)) focuses on nutrition as a multidisciplinary and complementary therapy approach both in case of preventive and disease management areas. We support the launch of Asian Nutrition Society.

Dr Ritu Santhwani, Gynaecologist, Cosmetologist and Infertility Specialist added “Your diet is a bank account. Good food choices are good investments. Esperer’s E2RN is a knowledge sharing platform involving different branches giving importance to nutrition.”
