TOW Founder Gaurav Manchanda welcomes budget’s focus on agriculture and sustainable farming

This initiative is a significant step toward supporting farmers and promoting sustainable farming practices

Gaurav Manchanda, Founder & Director of The Organic World, India’s leading organic and natural retail store, has praised the Union Budget’s emphasis on agriculture and sustainable farming. He lauded Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s introduction of Prime Minister Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana, which targets 100 low-productivity districts to enhance crop diversification, improve storage facilities, expand irrigation, and increase credit access for farmers.

“This initiative is a significant step toward supporting farmers and promoting sustainable farming practices. By improving agricultural infrastructure and accessibility, the government is ensuring a healthier, more nutrition-focused future for consumers,” said Manchanda.

As the head of The Organic World, Manchanda welcomed the government’s support for the organic food ecosystem, highlighting how these policies will help create better access to clean-label, chemical-free food.

“This budget provides a strong framework for strengthening agriculture, benefiting both farmers and consumers by ensuring the availability of safe, healthy, and worry-free food across India,” he added.
