Molecules Biolabs opens Global Innovation Center at Kinfra Industrial Park

The new facilities are focussed on advanced delivery systems, including liposomes and micellar formulations

Thrissur-based Molecules Biolabs has opened a state-of-art Global Innovation Center with an investment of Rs 8 crore at Kinfra Industrial Park in Koratti, where their primary innovation activities for nutraceuticals take place.

The new facilities are focussed on advanced delivery systems, including liposomes and micellar formulations, to improve the bioavailability and stability of bioactive compounds for the food and nutraceutical industries.

Vishnuraj P, Director, Department of Commerce and Industry (DIC), Government of Kerala inaugurated the centre.

Dr Sreeraj Gopi, Founder, Managing Director, Molecules Biolabs said “What started years ago as a dream — with nothing more than my brother’s car serving centre with area of 1,000 sq ft lab as our first office — has now grown into reality: the inauguration of the Molecules Global Innovation Center with a 35,000 sq ft facility at Kinfra, the largest dedicated facility for liposomal research in Asia.”

He further added, “The most moving part for me was witnessing people come together from across the US, Europe, Middle East, Chile, and India — making Koratty a new global hub for liposomal science. I remain forever grateful to my mentors and Prof Józef Haponiuk (Poland) whose constant encouragement shaped this journey. Today, our Molecules family has already grown to 45 passionate scientists, and soon we will cross 100+ brilliant minds united by one mission: building a global liposomal village right here in Kerala.”
