Tetra Pak, a leading food processing and   packaging   solutions   company, has launched an ice cream filler A3 designed   specifically for small to medium  producers  who want  to minimise investment and  cut operating cost.
Capable of producing  up to 18,000 ice cream cones  per hour, Tetra Pak Ice Cream  Filler A3 features  three enhanced components: A cone dispenser  with high  reliability and  capable  of  handling   different  cones and cups; an easy-to-operate chocolate sprayer with exceptional accuracy; a precise lid dispenser improving standardisation.
These enhanced features are expected to increase efficiency by helping in reducing  waste,  minimise  stops and increase overall speed, while ensuring  product  quality for manufacturers. Furthermore, the modular design of the machine offers significant production  flexibility with simple setup and easy equipment changeovers. This allows customers to switch smoothly between different cone sizes or cups, as well as ice cream flavours, in just a few minutes.
“The ice cream market is extremely competitive. Our customers face the challenge of providing quality products  to consumers  while keeping costs down. Our new filler offers an effective solution which improves cone handling and delivers different products on one machine. This significantly  cuts  operational   costs our pilot tests  show that  customers can save up to 69,000 Euros per year on the cone dispenser  alone, thanks to reduced wastage,” said Peter Lindstrom, Category  Director, Tetra  Pak.
The company sees particular demand for the line from customers in Southeast Asia and South America where new producers are entering the market, and also in Eastern Europe where existing manufacturers are looking for more production flexibility. The cone dispenser, chocolate sprayer and lid dispenser are also available individually for customers who want to upgrade their existing ice cream filling lines.
