Azelis strengthens food & nutrition presence in India and Indonesia

Inks partnership with Symrise, a global leader in flavour, fragrance, natural nutrition and cosmetic ingredients

Belgium headquartered company Azelis has announced a new partnership with German firm Symrise, in India and Indonesia. Effective immediately, the new mandate builds on existing relationships with Symrise in other markets, and sees Azelis adding Symrise’s dairy, confectionery and bakery flavor portfolio to the group’s food & nutrition lateral value chain in India. For Indonesia, the addition of Symrise’s dairy, bakery, processed meat and culinary application flavors and ingredients enhances the group’s position in the local food & nutrition market segment.

Symrise specialises in creating inspiring flavour ingredients and solutions, and is recognised for its taste balancing options and natural ingredients that meet consumer demands and market trends. The addition of Symrise’s flavour portfolio broadens Azelis’ comprehensive offering in India and Indonesia, enabling it to offer new formulations and ingredient insights to partners. This collaboration will enhance the consumer experience with solutions that enrich taste and improve the nutritional profile of end products.

Kapil Sethia, Symrise Vice President – Marketing, Business Units & Key Accounts APAC, says, “From simple but powerful flavours to complex taste compositions and multi-sensorial flavour ingredients, customers can now select from a greater variety of products for different applications and requirements from a consolidated source.”

Kimberly Chung, Azelis Asia Pacific Business Development Director, comments, “Our partnership with Symrise reinforces our position as a one-stop shop for customers, where we can provide them with high-quality, innovative flavour ingredients and comprehensive solutions thanks to our technical and formulation expertise.”
