As India’s GDP rises, people’s spending habits change. While in the past, they focused on basic needs like food and shelter, now they’re paying more attention to nutrition. This shift means they’re investing in healthier food options and supplements to stay healthy and prevent illness.

In a world full of information, figuring out what food is good for you can be confusing. There are so many different diets and food labels to understand, and they all seem to say different things. But one thing is clear: eating right is important for our health. This confusing situation shows how important it is for people to learn about nutrition. The right information can arm you with the best defence and as we all know, “Prevention is better than cure.” It’s time for India to change how it thinks about nutrition. Instead of just seeing it as something we eat, we should think of it as something we can consume in a myriad of ways from food, drinks & even supplements.

At the centre of this big change is teaching people about nutrition. In a country like India, the food is so varied as per geography hence awareness is not one size fits all. Nutrition education isn’t just about filling your stomach; it’s about how food affects both your body and mind. In today’s busy world, where everyone’s always rushing around, eating right is super important for staying healthy. But because people don’t always know what they need, they often feel tired and lethargic. In our country, our original foods & grains have been substituted with a lot of unhealthy options and food ingredients that don’t give enough nutrition to our bodies. Hence while our home-cooked food still holds high nutritional value, our fast-paced life and food choices may not allow us to consume a balanced home meal daily. Thus, it is important to offer choices that allow us to consider our lifestyle and offer information that helps people see food in a positive way and nutrition options apart from food that consumer is empowered
